1/22 MS Physics update and homework due 1/29

Hi folks,

Today we started our brand new unit on energy.  This is a bit more difficult than motion since it is so much more abstract.  We'll move our way through it though and get to understand it pretty well by the time we are done.  Today's lecture introduced the concept and we will be working through the basics of energy for the next few weeks.

For homework this week please do the enclosed .pdf.  Answers are on a second .pdf.

2/13 MS Chemistry update and homework due 2/20

Hi folks, Today we really got into energy by discussing the concepts of potential energy, kinetic energy and conservation of energy. For homework this week, read the "Kinetic and Potential Energy" chapter in the book which starts on page 100. Do all the questions on page 108 and 109. We will have a quiz next week so be sure to study this week's and last week's homework. You may also want to make sure you know conservation of momentum as well.
